The depositar stats page update: dataset views page is available

The statistics dashboard of the depositar, stats.depositar.io, recently added statistics on dataset views. It tracks the number of views for datasets on depositar starting from March 25, 2022 (for a dataset, view counting is limited to one view per user per day, and automated bot views are excluded).

The following sections introduce the newly added Dataset Views page, which can also be accessed from the top navigation bar.

The upper section of the page presents the ten projects and datasets with the highest cumulative numbers of views. A project’s view count is calculated by summing the views of all their public datasets.

Dataset Views by Project

The lower section allows users to explore the datasets within a specific project and their viewing statistics. It provides three metrics, the number of datasets, the project’s total views, and the median number of dataset views, as well as the view count for each dataset and its percentage of the project’s total views.
