The depositar team participated in the SciPy 2026
The SciPy Conference is an annual event exploring the application of Python in open-source scientific research. This year, SciPy 2026 was held from July 13 to 19 in Minneapolis, USA. Marking the 25th anniversary of the SciPy Conference, the event themed “Spirit of SciPy” focused on “Data-Driven Discovery, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence,” promoting the implementation and breakthroughs of AI technology across diverse scientific fields such as earth sciences, biology, medicine, astronomy, and physics.
Yu-Lin Chen and Cheng-Jen Lee from the depositar team presented a poster titled “Toward Reliable Localization of Free and Open Source Software: LLM-assisted Translation Workflows for QGIS,” sharing their recent experience in using Large Language Models to supplement the Traditional Chinese interface of QGIS. The full paper will be published in the SciPy 2026 online proceedings after peer review.
